About the Arnold Shotokan Karate Dojo

The Arnold Shotokan Karate Dojo is an affiliate of Shotokan Karate of America (SKA), a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching traditional karate in the United States since 1955.

Training in Arnold, CA began in 2022, and the dojo was officially established in 2025 under the leadership of Alex Gostrer. Our practice is open to all ages, and we have a strong tradition of working with children—something many parents find especially valuable.

Benefits of Karate Practice

Karate promotes both mental and physical well-being. It builds self-confidence, balance, focus, strength, and discipline, while fostering maturity and strong character. Our goal is to continually improve ourselves through dedicated practice and to preserve the art of traditional karate.
